There are many ways that you can join the mission of TIBM by going -- that is, actually packing your bags and getting your feet on the field here with us.  If you feel led by the Holy Spirit to pursue these opportunities, consider the following options:

  • Short-term Missions (STM) - Throughout the year, TIBM hosts week-long mission experiences for small groups, Sunday school classes, churches, BCM groups, and others.  While only a week long, these trips are designed to engage the hearts, minds and bodies of volunteers in the real world of cross-cultural missions in Chicagoland.  If you or your group are interested in learning more, email us to request an information packet.  You may also request information about shorter vision trips to our area.
  • Summer & Semester Internships - TIBM regularly receives summer and semester missionaries that work alongside our full-time staff in supervised internships.  These are challenging and rewarding positions that are simply not for everyone.  However, if you are looking to take a next step on the path to full-time missions, contact us for more information. To begin the application process right away, go to the North American Mission Board's "Answer the Call" site now.
  • Long-term & Full-time Missions - Of course, our biggest need is for men and women who are willing to join us in long-term positions.  There are multiple options for this including becoming a church planting missionary, a Mission Service Corps volunteer, a USC-2 missionary, as well as bivocational and "raise-your-own-support" opportunities.  If this is the direction that you are looking at, contact us and let us know about yourself and what the Lord is doing in your life.

Please use the "Fetch-a-Prayer" tool below to pray for the TIBM team, church plants, ministries, and people groups in our mission field.  The widget is pretty self-explanatory, and we hope God will use it to mobilize more prayer for the work here. Why not take 3 minutes right now to pray?
